This is a translation of our Dutch privacy policy (Privacyverklaring). In the event of any discrepancy, the Dutch version prevails.
MarathonBoard, part of JPR Enterprises, is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy policy. We value your privacy and handle your data with care.
MarathonBoard processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:
This data is only processed for the purposes and on the legal bases set out in section 3.
Our website does not intend to collect data about visitors younger than 16, unless they have permission from their parents or guardian. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore encourage parents to be involved in their children's online activities, to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without such consent, please contact us at hello@marathonboard.com and we will delete this information.
MarathonBoard processes your personal data for the following purposes:
For certain parts of our website (such as the My Account area) you first need to register. After registration, we store the username you chose and the personal details you provided, so you don't have to enter them again every time and so we can contact you in connection with the performance of the agreement.
Our portal gives you access to an account area where you can set, provide and change information yourself.
Our website offers a contact form you can use to ask questions. You will be asked to fill in various details so that we can answer your question. You choose which details you provide. The data you send us is kept for as long as necessary to fully answer and handle your question. After that, we keep the data for a maximum of one year for statistical purposes.
We offer a newsletter in which we share relevant information about our latest products and/or services and related products and/or services from MarathonBoard and third parties. You can sign up via the website. Your email address is then automatically added to the list of subscribers. Every newsletter contains a link you can use to unsubscribe if you wish.
In addition to the information on our website, we may also keep you informed about our products and services via:
We do not keep your personal data longer than strictly necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. The data is deleted once it is no longer needed for those purposes, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it longer (such as the Dutch statutory tax retention period of seven years for payment records).
MarathonBoard shares your personal data with carefully selected third parties where this is necessary to perform the agreement and/or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a data processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. MarathonBoard remains responsible for this processing. These are external service providers such as accountants, financial service providers, website, application and CRM support, and debt collection agencies. In certain cases MarathonBoard also provides your personal data to other parties. We only do this after informing you and with your explicit consent.
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you have given for MarathonBoard to process your personal data. You can also request a transfer of the data we use with your consent, or state, with reasons, that you want us to restrict the processing of your personal data.
You can send a request to access, correct, delete or transfer your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data, to hello@marathonboard.com. To make sure the request was made by you, we ask you to identify yourself adequately. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, and in any case within four weeks.
We are of course happy to help if you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data. Under privacy law, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or with the data protection authority in your own EU country.
MarathonBoard takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised alteration. If you feel your data is not properly secured or there are signs of misuse, please contact us at hello@marathonboard.com.
We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy. We recommend checking this privacy policy regularly so that you are aware of any changes.
